How to Think Rich

The quality of our thoughts becomes the quality of our life. When we choose to seek wealth in each one of our thoughts (choosing to seek valuable lessons in our greatest hardships; being abundant, optimistic and creative with our imagination; and seeking gratitude during the good times and patience during the bad times), we can give rise to a multitude of favorable undertakings (annuit cœptis)! Positive and negative expectations regarding the future are important for understanding the vulnerability to mental disorders, in particular mood and anxiety disorders, as well as to physical illness. A significant positive relation emerges between optimism and coping strategies focused on social support and emphasis on positive aspects of stressful situations. Through the employment of these specific coping strategies, optimism can create a new order of alignment between the triad of our mind, body and spirit (novus ordo seclorum)! This alignment can promote adaptive behaviors and cognitive responses, associated with greater flexibility, problem-solving capacity and a more efficient elaboration of negative information. With that in mind, let’s make the intention to embrace this eerie geometry and to start this Monday on a positive note! Don’t forget guys, our greatest form of wealth is our overall health!
