How Neurons Make Connections

In our brain, real neurons can make connections when we form a new habit, think a new thought, or learn something for the first time. What is known as “pruning” can be observed by the neurons. This occurs when you stop thinking a thought or when you change a habit. The process of neurogenesis does not diminish with age in a healthy human brain and it is occurring right now with every thought you are having. It also gives support to the idea that ‘practicing’ emotions that are positive can form infinitely new ‘happy’ connections in the brain. Putting this practice into motion can indeed improve your mental, physical, and spiritual health.
