Revisiting Our Roots

The other day I was reflecting back on my journey through medical school and I ended up going back to MEDspiration‘s first post which was dated: July 20th, 2014. Back in 2014, I was a first year medical student who had such a deep desire to give back to the world. As I read through old comments, I realized we’ve had loyal followers who have been by my side since the very beginning of my journey.

If you know me personally, you know I wake up every morning with the intention to create new content that may MEDspire each of you to seek better health within yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually. Hands down the best part about having that privilege and honor is that it inspires me to focus on improving as a person and attempting to be the best version of myself no matter what obstacle stands in front of me – this included all of my #USMLE board exams. I never felt alone because I felt like I was doing it for each and every single one of us.

If you’ve been following this account, we’ve shared some of the most monumental moments of my life together like when I first assisted in delivering a baby; when we first became a non-profit organization; to when we unveiled our logo; all the way to having the honor of collaborating with some of the coolest healthcare professionals on this planet. I truly feel like I have the biggest and healthiest family with me at all times and I am forever grateful for that. Thank you for inspiring me to create this space for us.

Please comment below how long you have been following this account and how it has added to your life the past four years. It would mean the world to me to read your words!
