Why Flexibility is Key

#MindBodySpirit

This is a demonstration of the strong and supple umbilical cord surrounded by Wharton’s jelly, a gelatinous substance within the umbilical cord. Notice how a knot can exist without causing a compression of the umbilical vessels. The flexibility of this cord allows the baby and the mother to avoid complications of the very rare but fatal condition of a true umbilical knot, which are knots that represent a hazard to the fetus, particularly intrauterine death, fetal distress or asphyxia during labor. In this respect, flexibility is an important key to the stability of life; it is also a principle which, when applied, can bring balance into our every day lives. Our ability to adapt and evolve from the tangles and knots of life depends largely on our mental flexibility. For example, our predominant thoughts dictate what is brought into our life every second. Authentic flexibility with ourselves gifts us the ability to monitor our thoughts at all times without judgment. Through this action, we can learn to determine our relative state of weakness or strength; allowing us to shift out of the thoughts that weaken us and into the thoughts that bring us joy and abundance. Habitual reoccurrence to this harmony increases our mastery of it and can decrease our psychological stress.

With this in our minds, let’s make the intention to stay committed to our decisions while staying flexible in our approach!
